    Watchful Eye Daycare is a child care facility based in Gambrills, Maryland but serving the surrounding areas of Crofton, Odenton and Bowie. We provide a safe and loving environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers where an emphasis is placed on school readiness. We have more than 20 years of experience as a licensed facility .

    Infant Room 1

    We understand the concerns of new parents who need to leave their babies in the care of others. We accept infants as young as 6 weeks, and our classroom ratio for infants is one teacher for every three babies or two teachers for every six babies.
    We have a designated area for breastfeeding. We understand the importance of moms being able to nurture their babies. We also have a lactation consultant available for any guidance and tips parents may need.

    Infant Room 2

    Our team does milestone assessments to ensure your child performs within the normal range. We believe that early intervention is the key to a child's success. Our infant programs require parents to supply breast milk and / or formula for their babies. We offer support for nursing mothers with a Breastfeeding Specialist.

    Infant/ Toddler Room

    This is a critical time for the development of a toddler. We focus on supporting your child's learning by stimulating reasoning, gross and fine motor skills. The child is learning how to respond to different expressions, words and sounds. We promote lots of singing, dancing, and talking to help encourage the children to express themselves.

    Twos & Early Threes

    Watchful Eye daycare provides a safe and educational day care. Our programs are designed to provide a variety of age- appropriate activities and learning opportunities for children ranging in ages of late twos to early threes.

    Preschool

    Our preschool program is structured for ages 2 to 4 and is set up with a curriculum approved by MSDE. By the time your child is ready to enter kindergarten, they will be school ready. Many of our activities include: Science, Music, Art, Math & Language Arts.
    Watchful Eye daycare offers a learning environment for all school age children in our care for ages 5-7. Our center is designed to actively engage children in their own cognitive language whether it be physical, social, or emotional. Children are able to pursue their interest through art, reading, technology, and much more. Transportation is also provided to and from shools within our community.

    Our Kitchen

    Watchful Eye Dayare provides breakfast, am snacks, lunch, and pm snacks for all students in our care. Menus are created weekly and made available to parets through our website as well as on parent boards throughout the center. The menu is altered for food allergies and age accomodations. Water is also offered with every meal.

    Our Playground

    We offer a well-rounded program to keep up with children's energy and encourage early healthy fitness habits. We don't just talk the talk; we also walk the walk with the Let's Move campaign. In addition, we exercise a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to keep children engaged throughout the day. We believe that children learn through play. From planting seeds, learning the life cycle of a butterfly, understanding how nature works, and a day of water play, your little ones get to discover the world of nature.
